Stover Ventures is a new company formed to improve economics for grain producers, dairy farmers, and beef growers alike.

In March 2013, Ag Ventures Alliance (AgVA) began investigating the opportunity of treating corn stover with a caustic solution to enhance its nutritional value as ruminant livestock feed. In early 2015, AgVA and CSI formed Stover Ventures to commercialize CSI’s patented biomass treatment process for producing highly digestible feed products and high value specialty chemicals from agricultural residues (antioxidants). In late 2015, feeding trials were conducted at the University of Wisconsin Madison. The trials confirmed that the stover can be a good replacement for soybean hulls in the dairy diet. Stover Ventures is currently in the process of site location and construction of a demonstration plant.
